How to have continuous power for Sony a7 & a600 (or similar) cameras for 4-5 hours on 1 battery or continuous for all day shooting.
Sony’s a6000 and a7 series does suffer when it comes to batterylife. When I shoot with either my a7S og my a7R, I do carry plenty of batteries. They seem to last about an hour, which is NOT very good. My old Canon 5D MKII would go at least half a day on one battery. The battery grip (VG-C1EM) does double the batterylife, but also adds quite a lot in size.
Below you see my solution for long battery life and continuous power.
1. If you need continous power, get this:
Amazon.de – DC coupler and UK/Euro plug: http://amzn.to/1D5fFyI
Amazon.co.uk – DC coupler and UK/Euro plug: http://amzn.to/1DxJfhE
Amazon.com – DC coupler and US/UK/Euro plug: http://amzn.to/1wVxzjI
2. and also want long battery life:
> Battery plate: http://amzn.to/1wVBZav (amazon.com)
> Battery plate: http://ebay.to/1CRJJRA (eBay UK – ships from Hong Kong)
> 3rd party NP-F batteries and charger: http://amzn.to/1LCZcc4 (amazon.com)
If you go with 1 + 2 you get the best of both worlds.
