Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera
When Blackmagic chose to reduce the price by 50%, I could not resist. I called esee a/s where I buy most of my stuff, and ordered a camera and a spare battery.
After working with it for a few days, I realized that a cage is a must have, because it is very small.
I chose to buy online and get Skier Blackcage Pro via eBay and it was delivered a few days after. Great cage! The cage makes it posible to mount things on top, on the side or underneath, due to the 3/4″ and 1/4″ holes on the cage and the handle. I can easily fit my Ninja 2 recorder on top on a magic arm.
The first test is very promising. The camera spend a lot of power, so to many batteries or a 12v battery adapter. More on that later.
The image above shows BMPCC with a Fotga Focal Reducer EOS-M4 / 3 and a Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 4/20.
The video to the right is the first test of the new baby. Filmed in raw with 14-42mm Panasonic lens and a Light Craft Workshop father ND. The clip in Final Cut Pro X 10.9.2 in Horbelev, Denmark.
BMPCC Speed Booster
Camdiox BMPCC Speed Booster
I use this speed booster from Camdiox for the Blackmagic Pocket. The price is a fraction of the Metabones Speed Booster, and I really cant see any difference.
I got it from eBay and a british seller. Check it out here:
